Lynn Ward, 70, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2023. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother (“G”), sister, aunt, and amazing friend.
Lynn was born in Charleston, South Carolina on September 10, 1952 and was a long term resident of Palm Springs, where she met her soulmate, Eddie. Lynn went to Troy State University on a baton twirling scholarship, where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in education. She was later a teacher in Miami and allowed her class to play in the Florida snow fall of 1977. After her children were born, she became a homemaker.
Lynn is survived by her son, Nathan (Elise); daughter and son-in-law Kristin and Shawn Powell; grandchildren, Hayden and Bryson; brothers and their wives; Clark and Lynda Hare, and Brett and Connie Hare, and many nephews, nieces, and dear friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Eddie, her mother and father (Jean and Marion), and her brother, Bruce.
A Celebration of Life will be at 1:30PM, Saturday, February 11, 2023 with the inurnment to follow at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Funeral Home in Lake Worth.
