Linda and I met in the summer of 1972 at a dance at the Music Caster's and started dating.
On Christmas Eve 1972 I gave her a Promise ring showing my commitment to her and we were married on November the 9th 1973.
In the following years we had two boys (Jerry & Tony)
In 1983 we were in a car accident and Linda suffered injuries to her head, neck, elbow, and wrist,
From 1983 to 1997 a specialist from West Palm Beach , Shands Hospital in Gainesville, and LSU Medical Center in New Orleans performed 32 surgeries and procedures from multiple TMJ implants, complications due to infections and rejections.
In 1997 doctors felt further TMJ surgeries would not help her so they put her on pain medications (daily Morphine and Oxycodone) causing her to spend a great deal of time in bed.
Linda also had multiple wrist surgeries (carpel tunnel syndrome), elbow surgery, ulna nerve surgery and monthly infusions for arthritis and lupus.
In the beginning of last year she decided she wanted her life back and began reducing the amount of morphine and oxycodone and started having some good days.
She was able to take herself to the doctors, do things around the house and started going for walks and visiting our cabin and friends in North Carolina.
She dreamed of me retiring and us traveling and start enjoying our lives.
Linda, I kept my promise with the ring I gave you in 1972 on Christmas Eve.
You are the Love of My Life and I MISS YOU SO MUCH!
A graveside service for Linda will be held Saturday, December 23, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lake Worth Memory Gardens, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461.
