Karen Stenstream, 66, departed this earthly realm on January 7, 2024, at Wellington Regional Hospital, Wellington FL. Born on October 15, 1957, Karen embarked on her cosmic journey, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, lush greenery, and an impressive wicker collection. Karen was a graduate of Winnacunnet High School in Hampton, New Hampshire.
She trained Greyhounds for racing for several years in her early 20’s, a job she loved. Later on in life became a Quality Assurance Specialist in the behavioral health field and remained in this position for many years until her passing.
Karen, a true Plant Whisperer, could bring life to even the most despondent fern. Her home resembled a botanical paradise, complete with eclectic, brightly colored accents that would make any hippie or plant enthusiast jealous.
Her nights were spent immersed in the magic of books puzzle, games and binge-worthy shows. Whether lost in a game of Candy Crush or glued to the latest streaming sensation, Karen knew how to find joy in the simple pleasures of life. Karen was the devoted caregiver of Gigi, her tiny but mighty rescue dog. Gigi was often seen patrolling the porch with an air of importance, ensuring no rogue squirrels dared to nibble on the sacred foliage under Karen's watch.
Karen leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by her children, Alicia M Pierce, Ricky and Ryan Folk and her unofficial second daughter Kenisa L Helm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made to the rescue Gigi was Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, 3200 N Military Trail #3100, West Palm Beach, FL 33409.
