June Frances Savage

June is preceded in death by her parents Henry D. and Cludie L. Smith; her husband, Herbert Harvey Savage; and brothers Hank and Jerry Smith.

She is survived by her sons: Harvey (Cindi) Savage; Harold (Kay) Savage; Her daughters, Janet Smith and Margaret (Craig) Stanley. Eight grandchildren; Amanda, Brianna, Larry, Michelle, Justin, Jeremy, John and Betsy and 18 great grandchildren. Her sisters, Janet Goetz; Joyce (Art) Peasall and Mary (Frank) Smith, Sister-in-law, Joyce Murphy Smith. Many nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family.

June was born in Jesup, Georgia the oldest of six children. She grew up in Lake Park, Florida. June traveled the world with her husband who was career Army, settling in the Florida Gardens community where she was the owner/operator of the Florida Gardens Beauty Shop for many years.

June was a dedicated Christian and active member of the First Baptist Church in Lake Worth and later the Florida Gardens Baptist Church. She taught Bible class and vacation Bible school.

June loved people and never met a stranger. She was a loyal friend, a hard worker and generous to a fault. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. She loved her friends, her family, and her Lord.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, December 21st at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461 from 10am-11am. The Celebration of Life service for June will begin at 11am. Interment will follow immediately at Lake Worth Memory Gardens.
