Andrés, immigrated to New York City from the Dominican Republic in the mid 1960s, shortly thereafter he earned his High School Diploma and later earned a certification from the Technical Career Institute and worked at various capacities as an Electronics Technician. Andrés loved baseball and was an amateur pitcher during his teenage years.
Our father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather was a good, decent, hard working man.
He was funny, loving, and most of all enjoyed his native merengue music and dance at gatherings with family and friends.
Andrés was loved by all and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Nely, his children Martha, Teresa, Joe and Elizabeth and preceded in death by his Son Elpidio.
A visitation for Jose will be held Friday, September 29, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth. A prayer service will occur Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. A committal service will follow at 3:00 PM at Lake Worth Memory Gardens.
