It was May 8, 1933 when this green eyed beautiful baby was born in Manhattan's Misericordia Hospital to parents Virginia (Diovisalvo) and Salvatore Buttitta. Joan Rose lived in the Bronx with her parents and sister Patricia Ann until her marriage to Vincent E Marini Sr. in 1952.
Joan Rose gave unconditional love to family and friends. Her laugh was infectious, her smile contagious. She was thoughtful and humble with a parting line of "I love you" to one and all. She was an excellent cook and an example of a perfect lady in the drawing room. She was as sharp and delicate as the flower in her name.
Joan Rose and Vincent lived in Commack, Long Island for 35 years where they raised three children; Vincent Jr., Richard and Lynn. She is pre-deceased by her parents, nephew Sal Pierro, Sister-in-Law Adele and her husband Sam Lentini.
Joan Rose is survived by her loving husband Vincent of 71 years; her children, Vincent Jr., Richard and his wife Cindy, Lynn and her husband Kevin; five grandchildren, Matthew & wife Moira, Amelia & husband Paul, Joseph & wife Jennifer, Candice, and Adele & husband Mikey; great-grandchildren Aurora, Jack and Max; her sister Patricia Pierro; and nieces Joyce & husband Rachid El Nasser and Denise Wyman.
