JAMIE LYNN QUEVEDO Jamie Lynn Quevedo, 34, of Greenacres, FL passed away on Friday, October 7, 2011 under the care of Hospice of Palm Beach County. She was born in Pennsylvania, moving to this area as a young child. Jamie was a graduate of Santaluces H.S., and also Florida Atlantic University where she attained her Bachelor Degree in Education. She was an English teacher at Spanish River H.S. in Boca Raton for many years. Jamie was an avid collector of autographs, she also enjoyed counted cross stitch embroidery, and watching movies with her family and friends. She was a member of Christ Fellowship Church where she was active in the cancer support group. Jamie was also team captain for the Light the Night Walk against leukemia. She leaves to her husband Joel, two sons: Jacob and Joshua, her mother Bonnie Cornell; two brothers, Paul ( Sue) Cornell, Reginald Cornell. She also leaves to cherish her memory her nieces and nephews: Casey and Scarlet Cornell, and Amy Borge and Alyssa Gard. Her family will receive friends on Monday evening between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM at the funeral home, where her funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 PM. Jamie will be laid to rest immediately following at Lake Worth Memory Gardens. Memorial donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Leukemia Society of Palm Beach County.
