We buried my Grandmother today.  She was a great and wonderful woman; she did a lot of raising me and was always there for me no matter the circumstances.  I love you Mom-Mom.  You will be missed dearly. Rest Peacefully.

Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.

Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.

Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.

that is always was.
Let it be spoken without effort.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.

Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.

I am glad I saw my sister in August; we were able to talk and visit quite a bit.  Her daughters were absolutely amazing in their care and love and I thank God they were able to be there.

So sorry to hear. My heart and prayers go out to you. Love ya.

Now she will be eternally Blessed. Dying is a good thing when you believe in God. I am sure she will be missed by you.

Although You're Gone

When you lose your mother early, like I did, the adult women in your life tend to take on significant roles. One of these very special ladies passed away a few days ago and her daughters had to bury her today. Gale Howell did everything in her power to make me feel like I was part of her family after my mother passed away. Today was especially hard for me as I said goodbye to this other mother.  Robin, Kathy, and Chris I hope you know what a dear and special woman your mother was to me.  Holding you all in my prayers.

Robin, Kathy, Christine, please accept our deepest sympathy. Your Mom was always kind and generous. I will always remember her laugh. God Bless you and yours.

Gale always had a great disposition despite all the pain & difficulties she initially had when I worked with her at our rehab facility.   As I got to know her,  her consistent kindness & compassion towards the staff & other patients  set her apart.  She was a pleasure to work with & we were all very fond of her & she will be missed !!!
