She graduated in 1950 from Cairo Central School, and soon after married Carl (Gus) Gustavson. They owned and operated the Sunside Inn in Cairo, NY until 1973 when they moved to Lake Worth, Florida, where Enid worked for the City of Lake Worth until her retirement.
She is survived by her children, William Gustavson (Claire), Gary Gustavson, and Elissa LaPerna (David). Grandchildren, Will Gustavson (Jennifer), Amanda Snedeker (Michael), Daniel LaPerna (Kelly), Gary Gustavson (Jaelyn), Corrie Gustavson, and Carly Neal (Edwin). Also 10 great grandchildren, and two nieces, Joanne Toohey and Terri Cloutier.
Besides her parents and husband of 55 years, she was pre-deceased by her sisters, Gertrude Timmerman and Thea Worthingstun, and her grandson, James Gustavson.
Enid was proud of her German Heritage and was well known for her excellent cooking skills.
Services will be held at Dorsey E. Earl Smith on Kirk Road in Lake Worth, Florida on February 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
Internment will be in East Durham, NY this summer.
