Claudia Selon Jean

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Claudia Selon Jean, our loving and devoted Mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great great-grandmother, and friend to all whose lives she touched, on August 2, 2022. She left us while sleeping peacefully at her granddaughter’s home in Lake Worth, Florida. She was 107 years young.

Claudia was the beloved mother of Lucienne, proud grandmother of Alclatte, Byrline, Sandra, Cassandra, Diganne, proud great-grandmother of Jeff, Sydney, Dylan, Josh, Lyndon, Logan, McKayla, Hailey, Tallina, Brielle, and proud great great-grandmother of Evensky. She was also the proud Aunt to so many. She was predeceased by nine of her children, her 3 sisters, Lenora, Makila, Adisila and 3 brothers Tison, Youyou and Ban.

The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Claudia. She lived a full life as a wonderful mentor to all. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, unconditional love, compassion, and generosity. She always looked outside of herself – which is why she will be remembered as a beacon of light to everyone she encountered. She will be dearly missed, and everyone will hold onto the amazing memories she shared.

A gathering of family & friends for Claudia will be held Friday, August 19, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Bethanie French SDA Church, 560 NW 10th Avenue, Boynton Beach, FL 33435. A funeral service will begin Friday, August 19, 2022 at 10:00 AM, Bethanie French SDA Church, 560 NW 10th Avenue, Boynton Beach, FL 33435. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 PM at Lake Worth Memory Gardens, 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, FL 33461.
