A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he served as a Quartermaster aboard the U.S.S. Ault. He was employed in the plumbing supply business and was a member of the Florida Atlantic Builders Association. A longtime member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Lake Worth, he served in many congregational leadership roles. He was quite a handyman and his hobbies included "puttering" around the house and gardening. On October 26, 2014, he entered his eternal rest at the age of 86. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Carol of 58 years.
Survivors include his children Rev. David L. Adler (Peggy), Lois Adler, Debra L. Lohmeyer (Mark); grandchildren Anna Willis (Jeremy), Christopher Adler (Amanda) and great-grandchildren, Colton, Emma and Jenna Willis.
Visitation: Dorsey-E. Earl Smith, Lake Worth, Saturday, November 1, 2-5 p.m.
Funeral Service: Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1615 Lake Ave., Lake Worth, Sunday, November 2, 4:00 p.m.
