Ronald Enz, 82, of Lake Odessa went to be with his Lord on Monday, July 26, 2021 at Metro Health in Wyoming, MI. Ron was born on March 13, 1939 to Ford and Orpha (Buck) Enz in Lake Odessa. In the 11th grade Ron joined the Navy Reserve and after graduating he went active duty serving for 3 years. On June 5th, 1960 he married Norine Mosher and together they raised three children. Ron was a dedicated family man and had a heart to serve others. He spent many years farming and was a machinist at E.W. Bliss for 33 years. After that he spent 4 years as a custodian for Lakewood Public Schools. He and Norine spent their retirement years going on many trips with their dear friends Jerry and Carol Engle and Lee and Doris Shellenbarger. One of his favorite things was to jump in the car to head to Shipshewana to enjoy a concert with Norine. They went on many mission trips throughout the years. Ron was always willing to help his kids and grandchildren with any project they had. He was especially proud of his grandchildren and the lives they are building for themselves. Most days you could drive by his house and find him in the yard working or on his lawnmower.
He will be dearly missed by his wife Norine, children George (Mindy), Keith and Beth (Dennis) Geiger, 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, siblings: Annabelle Ludwig, Noreta (Joe) Otto, Jan (Jerry) Yonkers and David (Laurie) Enz, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, daughter in law Kathy Enz, nephews Ronnie Walker and Andrew Ferguson.
A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at Lakewood United Methodist Church, 10265 Brown Rd, Lake Odessa at 11am on July 31, 2021, with family receiving friends from 10am until time of service.
