Rodger Duane Meyers, age 68, passed away unexpectedly at SKLD Nursing and Rehab in Ionia on February 19, 2025. Rodger was born on December 23, 1956 in Hastings, MI to Marshall and Madeline (Hunt) Meyers. Rodger was a 1975 graduate of Maple Valley High School. On September 25, 1982 he married Susan Darling and together they welcomed three sons into this world, Jason, Justin and Joel. He loved to play cards, fishing and going to horse pulls.
Rodger will be missed by his mother Madeline, three sons Jason (Kate), Justin and Joel, granddaughter Allie Meyers, siblings Steven Floyd and his four children Steven (Tanya), James (Candace), Garth , and Kristen (Deon) McMeeken. Timothy Ray (Julie), Michael John (Dana), Jeffrey Lynn (Julie) and their sons Nathan (Lillian) and Caeleb, along with many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Marshall.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 5pm until 8pm at Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Kilpatrick UB Church at 11am with burial to take place in Woodland Memorial Park, Woodland Township.
Donations in Rodger’s name can be given to the Kilpatrick UB Church.
