Mary M Shoemaker

Mary M Shoemaker, age 96, of Lake Odessa, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Pennock Hospital after a brief illness. Mary was born in Ionia, MI to Royal and Edith (Musser) Wilcox on January 2, 1927. Mary along with her husband Don were lifelong farmers in the Lake Odessa area. She was an excellent cook and devoted member of the Central United Methodist in Lake Odessa. When not farming, Mary and Don enjoyed camping and made many good friends that they played cards with and had adventures.

She will be dearly missed by; her son Ronald (Debra VanLiew) Shoemaker, grandchildren Beth (Jason) Embrey, Gina (Chris) Rennie, sister Alice Carter, many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Shoemaker, siblings Marion, Irene, Marjorie, Royal, Richard, William, Kathleen, Lavern, Edith, in-laws Leslie and Frances Shoemaker and their children Madellan, Norma, Dale, Loraine, Barbara and Marlene.

A Graveside Service is being planned for Friday, 11:00 AM December 22, 2023 at Lakeside Cemetery in Lake Odessa, MI.
