Born September 4, 1948 in Lake Odessa to Francis and Ethel (Turner) Goodemoot both of whom preceded him in death along with his brother in law Don Bailey.
Den had a true love of farming, horses and hard work. Dedicated and passionate for his country and all She stands for as evident in his Military and Law Enforcement years. He was even a big brother to a Vietnamese boy named little Joe. His love for church and music led him every day of his life. He truly loved and cared for his family and friends, a true kindhearted gentleman, thoughtful, patient, selfless with a wonderful sense of humor. Den was an all-American boy who grew into an all-American Hero, a man bigger than life, a man beyond measure, he will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Den is survived by close and loving friend Susan Bulling Lake, daughter Sadie Goodemoot, step children: Jessie Hansen, Eric (Jodie) Hansen, grandchildren: Cora, Walker, Aislinn, Taggart and Emmett, siblings: Fran Morris, Margot Bailey, Ed and Carole Reiser, Russ (Mo) Goodemoot, Ronn Goodemoot and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 2pm until 6pm at Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa.
Funeral services will be held on March 11, 2019 at Lakewood United Methodist Church at 11am. Interment will take place with military honors at Woodland Memorial Park in Woodland, MI. A luncheon will follow back at Lakewood United Methodist Church.
