Yvonne Trahan

She was of Catholic faith and also a member of the Sweet Potato Queens. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and remodeling.

She is survived by her husband, Walter D. Trahan of lake Charles; son, Christopher Kounter and wife Lillia; daughters, Tracy Patten and husband Bill and Tia McCombs and husband Brian; brother, Raymond M. Broussard Jr.; sister, Marlene Fontenot; grandchildren, John, Branson, Krysta, Hannah, Christine and Parker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Rita Begnaud Broussard.

She was a military wife that traveled the world with her husband including Rome. She worked as secretary in many locations including Hawaii and locally at the Home Furniture store.

Her service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 24, 2014, at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. and resume Monday from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
