Wilson was born on December 25, 1945 to parents Wilson and Lula Kingrey in Eunice, LA. He was a very hard worker throughout his life. He started working when he was 12 years old mowing lawns. As an adult he went on to work for Calcasieu Parish before going to work for the Department of Transportation. Later in his life he retired from the Calcasieu Parish School Board as a custodian. In 1965 he met the love of his life, Norma Jean and they married in 1967. Together they had three children.
Wilson was a faithful member of First Moss Bluff. Anyone who knew him knew his love of God's word. He enjoyed reading and studying his Bible daily. Wilson was friendly and outgoing; he never met a stranger. He was always willing to help others. Wilson loved working in his yard and assisted others to help maintain their yards until his health began to decline.
Wilson is preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean; parents, Wilson and Lula Kingrey; and a brother, William Kingrey.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Melissa Estilette and husband John, Ollie Irwin and husband Troy, and Elizabeth Heurtevant and husband John.
