William "Bill" Louis Dickerson

Bill was born November 2, 1939 in Jasper, Texas to his late parents Byron Lewis Dickerson and Ollie Agnes Akin Dickerson, and was a long time resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Bill was a retired Associate Professor and Theatre Technical Director at McNeese State University.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman, golfer, and woodworker. He also was an excellent model builder. He built many remote control air planes and cars. There wasn't much that Bill couldn't do once he put his mind to it, including restoring two antique cars: a 1931 model A Ford Truck, and a 1958 Buick.

He leaves behind his sister, Tasca D. Savoie Johansson of Whidbey Island, WA, his two sons, William Daniel "Dan" Dickerson (Susan) and Thomas Alan Dickerson (Michelle) and two grandsons, Patrick Alan Dickerson and Ryan Daniel Dickerson.

Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with the service starting at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
