William Charles Delaney

Charlie was born in Big Lake on May 26, 1931 to Wallace and Leah Delaney. He graduated from LaGrange High School and attended McNeese State University where he was in ROTC. Charlie loved music and was a member of the cajun band, Musical 4 Plus 1 in the 50’s. He was also a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church and the IBEW local 861.

Charlie is survived by his daughters, Charlotte Touchet and husband, Alvin of Lake Charles and Susan Khoury and husband, John of Marietta, GA; son, Aaron Alan Delaney and wife, Marianne of Lake Charles; brother, Richard Delaney of Lake Charles; sister, Patricia Landry of Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Sean Launey, Kate Launey, Alex Khoury and Veronica Khoury.

A celebration of life will be 10:00am, Monday, June 3, 2013 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will begin Sunday 4:00pm-8:00pm and resume Monday 8:00am until service time.
