Born in Welsh she lived in Lake Charles. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Trudy's Catholic faith was the center of her life. She enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S., dancing, shopping, and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She touched the lives and hearts of everyone she knew. Her love and light will be missed by all who were blessed to have known her. She was committed to providing financial support to disabled children, particularly Smile Train.
Survivors include her 2 sons, Steven Russell LeBlanc and wife, Margaret LaBauve LeBlanc of Port Vincent, LA, Timothy Scott LeBlanc of Lake Charles; daughter, Trudy Lynn LeBlanc Bourgeois and husband, C.J. Bourgeois of Toledo Bend; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 9 nieces; 7 nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Rolland James LeBlanc, her parents, Dovake and Laura Tate and sister, Florence Jean Tate Savant.
A mass of Christian burial will be at 10am Wednesday, April 3, 2013 in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. The Msgr. James Gaddy will officiate. Visitation will be 5-9pm Tuesday with a rosary at 6pm in Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ross Bourgeois, Christopher Soileau, Josh Broussard, Wayne LeBlanc, David LeBlanc, Gerry LeBlanc, Eric Authement. Readers will be Margaret LeBlanc and Kathy Lacock.
