Terry Lee Conner

Terry Lee Conner, 68, passed away at his home on October 28, 2011.

Mr. Conner was born in Grand Chenier. After 29 years of service, he retired from Conoco in 1995. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Creole where he was a 3rd Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus and was a member of the Jaycees. Terry volunteered his time with the Cameron Parish Civil Defense. He loved spending time with his family and friends. During his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, working cattle, attending livestock shows, gardening, watching sports, cooking with friends, listening to music on his front porch, and spoiling his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Ann Conner of Abbeville; mother, Dorothy Conner of Grand Lake; mother-in-law, Vernita Tillery of Lake Charles; sons, Donnie Lee Willis of Porter, TX and James “Tug” Mizer of Kaplan; daughters, Rebecca Lynn McCain and husband Curt McCain of Sulphur, Dana Elizabeth Gauthier of Sulphur, and Terri Lynn Conner of Crowley; brothers, Gerald Conner of Sulphur, Lynn Conner of Lake Charles, and Ronnie Conner of Grand Chenier; sister, Mary Ann Johnson of Grand Lake; grandchildren, Alexandra McCain, Garrett McCain, Chelsea Willis, Kimberly Willis, Conner Gauthier, Cutter Gauthier, and Isabelle Camel; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Joseph Lee Conner; paternal grandparents, Martial Conner and Odele Boudreaux Conner; maternal grandparents, Edmond Logue and Mergurphy Miller Logue; and nephew, Joshua Johnson.

Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2011 and will continue at 8 a.m. until time of service Monday at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Scripture service will be 6 p.m. Sunday, October 30, 2011 with a rosary to follow. His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 31, 2011 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Lake Charles.
