Thirty years ago Ted came into Joe's and my life when we three worked together in Singles at First Baptist Church, DeRidder.   Ted seemed drawn to time in our home.  His parents passed away early in his life, and I felt he  saw in Joe a man who was the example of a committed Christian father and someone from whom he could seek advice when he needed it.  He spent a lot of time with us, and along the way a love of "adopted parents" and "adopted son" developed.  When it was necessary for us to move from DeRidder, the relationship never ceased. An example:  He stood beside me in a Memphis hospital, 17 years ago , when  Joe left us to be with our Savior.  That weekend Louise, someone so easy to love,  was added to my life.  After their marriage,  Ted expressed to me, many times, that he had the most wonderful wife and how much he loved her.  They  worked as a Christian couple in their church and community to share "the Good News."  Now Ted and Joe rests in our Father's arms, waiting for us to join them.  May his children know Ted  is at peace, and as Louise expressed, he no longer suffers.   Ted will be missed; he was special.

I am so very sorry to see this obituary.
 Seems like only yesterday both of you were greeters at the doors all around the church.  

We don't really think life is short until we see friends that have slipped away in a hurry and at an age younger than us.

Louise, so sorry to hear of Ted’s homegoing. What a blessing to know he’s right where he belongs now, resting in Jesus’ arms. Prayers for you and your family. 

So very sorry to hear this news. Haven't seen Ted in many a years. Remember him as always being a very kind person.  Rode that old yellow bus to school with him for many a year!! Condolences to his family to his wife, children and to Paul and Susie!! To all of his extended family and friends.

Wow what can we say. You and Louise was always nice to me and my family. You always had a warm smile for us when you saw us. I love coming to y’all house for small group and the conversation we had afterwards I will miss. You helped me to stay strong while my wife is fighting cancer. I can’t believe you are gone. Fly high my friend. Louise we are always here if you need us. Love you  .

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Louise Williams; children, Brandon (Michelle), Williams, Brad (Jamie) Williams, Marsha (Justin) Mouser, Donna Vaughn, Randall Morris, Nathan Morris; mother of his children, Connie Mechling; brother, Paul (Martha) Williams; sister, Susan (Randy) Bourque and nine grandchildren.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents; Royce and Odalee Williams and brother, Royce Williams, Jr.
