Ruby Lucille Murphy

Ruby Lucille Murphy, age 92, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024. Ruby was born in Youngsville, LA. on May 24, 1931 to Zulma and Adrien Hebert. She was the owner of Cameron Food Mart for over 20 years. She loved to cook, listen to country music and her family was her pride and joy.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Zulma and Adrien Hebert, her husband Alvin Murphy, son, Ronald Paul Murphy, daughter, Deborah Joy Billings and her sister Rose Doxey.

She is survived by her son, Patrick Arthur Murphy of Deridder, son in law Orson Billings, daughter Phyllis Ann Murphy of Deridder, brother, Doris Hebert of Maurice, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. on Monday January 29, 2024 with a Rosary at 6:00 P.M. and will resume at Noon.

Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel of Hixson Funeral Home 3001 Ryan St. Lake Charles at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday January 30, 2024, interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
