Born on August 3, 1928 at 405 Lawrence St, Lake Charles to Nicholas and Carrie Morasco, she was a 1947 gradudate of Lake Charles High School and a retiree of the Calcasieu Parish Clerk of Court’s Office. Rosalie was a member of St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters and their Altar Society.
Rosalie was proud of her children, grandchildren and her Italian Heritage. She loved to cook and was well known for her favorite dishes such as spaghetti, stuffed artichokes, bread pudding, cabbage rolls and hot tamales. She never sat down to eat until everyone else was taken care of and she always made sure that no one left her house hungry or empty handed. She lovingly cared for sick friends and relatives and was sure that was what God put her here on earth to do.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Scott Wilkerson and wife Sheryl; daughter, Carolyn Self and husband Randy and daughter-in-law, Melva Wilkerson all of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Oscar Jack Wilkerson and Gene LeDoux; one son, Jack Wilkerson; her parents and five siblings.
The family would like to express their grateful appreciation for the compassionate care given to their beloved mother by the wonderful doctors and staff of Heart of Hospice.
