Rev., Dr. Marvin Douglass was born to Paul and Mittie Douglass on February 5, 1938 in Kansas City, Kansas and was called home January 9, 2019.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Joy Humphreys and Kathy Taveney; along with a nephew, Stephen Taveney.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Karen; two sons, Craig Douglass (wife Jan), Brad Levine (wife Ronnette); and three daughters, Debra Kavanaugh, Karen Belvin, Kathy Brandon (husband Joe); thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.

Dr. Douglass graduated with his doctorate from NOBTS. He was the CEO of the Christian Counseling Clinic for 36 years in Lake Charles. Over the last 60 years, he pastored churches in California, Texas, Mississippi, and Louisiana.

A Memorial Service will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles at 2:00pm on Sunday, January 13, 2019 with Reverends Randall Chesson and Jonathan Brown officiating. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
