Raleigh Louis Walker Jr., 74, of Lake Charles, passed away 1:31 pm at an area hospital.

He was born June 3, 1940 in Port Arthur, TX to Raleigh Louis and Mary Massie (Myer) Walker. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his four children, Tiffeny (Terry) Beyer of Kent, WA; Terri Farrell of Allentown, PA; Tonya (Kory) Elliott of Polson, MT and Raleigh Louis (Krista) Walker III of Eldorado Hills, CA, his partner Jesse Carrier of Lake Charles, one brother, Michael (Alice) Walker, ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, his beloved pet “Lil Girl” and many extended family members and friends.

Raleigh served in the U.S. Navy and obtained the rank of Lieutenant before being honorably discharged. He worked as a nurse for many years in the Medical Industry and was an intricate part of the State of Louisiana Nursing Home System. Raleigh loved his garden, growing roses and spending time with his family.
