She enjoyed cooking, quilting, embroidery, flower and vegetable gardening and making doll clothes for her Shirley Temple doll. Nettie loved Mardi Gras and getting beads. She always wore the beads every day. Nettie loved little children and her cats and dogs. In the nursing home, she enjoyed playing bingo and if she didn’t win she was unhappy. There are lots of good memories. All of the good meals she cooked and especially her pies.
Survivors include her son, James LeBoeuf and wife, Cheryl of Sulphur; daughters, Sharon Cunningham and husband, Albin of Moss Bluff and Lois McDonald of Toledo Bend; brothers, William Fruge and wife, Jean of Owensboro, KY and John D. Fruge and wife, Doris of Moss Bluff; grandchildren, Billy McDonald and wife Tiffany; Brandon McDonald and wife Samantha, Aaron LeBoeuf and wife, Reagan, Natalie Broussard and husband, Judd, April Reid and husband, Cliff and Trina Watson and husband, Theron; great grandchildren, Christian McDonald, Collin McDonald, Raylee McDonald, Annaliece McDonald, Sydney Hebert, Landon LeBoeuf, Brittnay Willis, Clifton Reid, William Watson and Kaynon Watson; and great great grandchild, Jack William LeBoeuf. She was also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Gilbert LeBoeuf; great granddaughter, Lexie LeBoeuf; son-in-law, William McDonald; her parents, Viellor and Ophelia Fruge; sister, Mary Welsh; brothers, Addison Fruge, J.R. Fruge and L.V. “Keno” Fruge; and infant sister and brother.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 from 5pm-8pm with a rosary at 6pm at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will resume on Thursday from 8am until service time at the funeral home at 11am. Burial will be at Prien Memorial Park Cemetery.
