Mary Rachel Mogged

Lake Charles – Rachel Mogged, 56, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014, at her sister's home

She was born January 10, 1958 in Sulphur to Ceasar and Mae LaBauve. She married Todd Mogged on April 18, 1998 in Lake Charles. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Bonnie Marcantel and one brother James R. LaBauve.

She is survived by her husband, Todd Mogged, son, Josh Sargent and wife Shelby; daughter Julie Smith and husband Michael; brothers, John H. LaBauve and wife Grace, John LaBauve and wife Faye, James H. LaBauve and wife Marlene; sister, Kathy Bellon, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She worked many years at St. Pat's until leaving to spend more time with her grandchildren. She loved cooking everything, shopping, collecting knick knacks and creating wonderful keepsakes.

Her service will be 11:00am, Thursday, September 25, at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Father Scott DesOrmeaux will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00pm until 9:00 pm with a rosary at 6:30pm and resume at 10:00am on Thursday until time of service. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
