Marshall Paul "Mack" Montgomery Sr.

Mr. Montgomery was born in Duson, LA and lived in Lake Charles since 1964. He was an affiliated member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church .He worked for 17 years and later retired due to health reasons from PPG in Lake Charles and served as a deputy sheriff for the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Department. He was a Knight of Peter Claver and a member of the Local 407. He loved football, fishing, barbecuing and cooking. He also loved entertaining and spending time with his grandchildren and family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

He leaves to cherish his memory are his wife, Ella Montgomery; one son, Marshall (Soncerae) Montgomery Jr. of Houston, TX; two step-sons, Harry(Marcia) Green Jr. of Lake Charles, LA and Jeffery (Jennifer) Green of Moss Bluff, LA; six brothers, Vallerie Montgomery of Mossville, LA, Wesley (Dinie) Montgomery Sr. of Lake Charles, LA, Walter Montgomery of Los Angeles, CA, Eugene (Barbara) Montgomery of Los Angeles, CA, Leward (Celine) Montgomery of Moss Bluff, LA and Eldridge “Jerry” (Wanda) Montgomery of Lake Charles, LA; two sisters, Dorothy Armelin and Shirley Covington both of Los Angeles, CA; six grandchildren, Ashley, Juliette, Trey, Jeff Jr., Jordan and Jace. He will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Abraham and Mary Agatha Montgomery Sr.; two sisters, Theresa Andrus and Diane Prince; five brothers, Abraham Jr., Oran, Lesley, Clifton and Jack Montgomery.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am Saturday, September 7, in Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation is from 8-10am Saturday with a rosary. Burial will be Prien Memorial Park. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com.
