Marion Macdonald White

Marion was the second child of four. She attended McNeese State University where she received a Masters plus 30 in social work and counseling. Marion served her community in many capacities – as a Sulphur High School English teacher for 15 years, and Sulphur High School Guidance Counselor for five. She had a second career as a mental health counselor for 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her older sister Janet Cipnic and younger brother James Macdonald.

Marion is survived by her younger sister Alice Nelson of Carlyss, her children Kirby White III, of Lake Charles and Alastair White, and his wife Heather, and grandchildren A.J. White and Madelyn White, all of Choupique.

Services were entrusted to Hixson Funeral Home, Lake Charles, with a private service held at a later date.
