We want to alert the greens keeper in Heaven that she would like the greens cut short and a good pin placement. She won’t be needing a cart - she likes to walk.
Prior to her illness, Marge was a faithful member of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church and active in Altar Guild. She loved to volunteer at St. Pat’s Hospital and was Ticket Chairman for Lake Charles Ballet Society for many years. She loved her family, animals, walking, snow-skiing and of course her golf. In her younger days, Marge was a Medical Technologist and worked up until her children were born.
She is survived by her son, Dr. Sherwood Gill, her daughter Heather Palmer and husband Paul, her grandchildren, Cameron Gill and Amanda Punch, Haley Doucet and husband Hayden, Dr. Tripp Palmer and wife Claire, Hunter Palmer and wife McKenzie, and her great grand-daughter, Mercy Palmer. Marge was preceded in death by her parents, Cyril and Martha Harland, and her husband, Sherwood Gill.
We would also like to acknowledge her wonderful caregiver Linda Lee, who cared for her for many years, along with the staff and doctors at Grand Cove Nursing Home.
A service will be held for her on Friday, November 9, at 10 a.m. in the chapel at Good Shepherd Episcopal church.
