Lucien Leger Jr.

Lucien was born in Jennings, LA to parents Lucien Leger Sr. and Olita Leblanc Leger on June 10, 1929. He was known to his family as a loving, hard-working man. He always had to be busy and was always tinkering with something. He always had a smile on his face.

He is greeted in Heaven by his parents; three sisters, Ethel Mayfield(Earl), Hazel Gothreaux(Issac), and Grace Fontenot(Curtis); three grandchildren, Brent LaComb, Krystal Leger, and Chivas Leger; and great-grandchild, Brynn Menard.

His memory will be fondly cherished by his wife of 70 years, Velma Jean Young Leger; three children, Brenda LaComb, Randy Leger and wife Desiree, and April Leger Domingue; grandchildren, Brad LaComb(Chrystal), Emily Walker(Joshua), Sam Bennett, Chelsea Sanders(Devin), Summer Menard(Justin), and Travis Gill; great-grandchildren, Kade Leger Gardner, Hunter Gill, Colton Menard, Harlow Walker, Aubrey Menard, Landry LaComb, Ryan LaComb, Bryce Menard, Tenley Walker, and Mia Kate Bennett. He will also be missed by a host of nieces and nephews, as well as numerous friends.

The family would like to invite friends to Hixson Funeral Home at 3001 Ryan St. Lake Charles, LA, 70601 on Friday, June 23, 2023, at 8:30 am for visitation until the time of service at 1 pm in the Chapel of Peace. A rosary will be recited at noon. Father Tony Fontenot will officiate services.

A graveside will follow services at Calvary Cemetery in Jennings, LA.
