Kenneth Bo Gordon

Bo was born on October 8, 1968 to Kenneth Edwin Gordon Jr. and Judy Mae Higgins Gordon on an army base in Heidelberg, Germany. Soon thereafter, Bo and his family moved to Lafayette, Louisiana where he grew up surrounded by friends of Broadmoor subdivision. He graduated from St. Thomas More High School and attended University of Louisiana at Lafayette where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. Bo worked in the oil field as a Land Man for over 20 years. Bo was a talented athlete, an avid outdoorsman and a handyman to all. He was the best joke teller but an even better laugher and his smile was contagious.

Bo was larger than life and he lived his life fast and hard. He also loved big and if you touched his life it truly meant the world to him. He is at peace now and will be missed terribly.

Bo is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth Edwin Gordon, Jr. and Judy Higgins Gordon, fraternal grandfather Kenneth Gordon, Sr. and maternal grandparents John Higgins and Heartsease Wood Higgins.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children; Abigail Renee Gordon and Kenneth Edwin Gordon III, along with their mother Tessie Gordon and stepdaughter Deanna Grace Abusalman all from Franklin, LA; his loving girlfriend, Kristine Laperouse of Lake Charles, Louisiana; Brother, Casey Gordon and wife Celeste of Gonzales, Louisiana; sisters, Allison Gordon of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Christy Dantin and husband Chris of St. Francisville, Louisiana, and Cory Leonard and husband Harwood of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; grandmother, Lucille Kimball Gordon of Welsh, Louisiana; nieces, Julia Leonard, Ava, Celia and Ella Gordon; nephews, Frank Leonard, Duke and Andrew Dantin.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Welsh on Saturday November 7, 2020 at 9 AM with a memorial service to follow at 11 AM. Jody Barrilleaux officiating.
