Joseph Lee Winters, age 68, of Lake Charles, Louisiana passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021. Joseph was born August 29, 1952 in Clarksdale, MS to Clarence Willard and Martha Janet Fitzgibbon Winters.
Joseph enjoyed wood working and had his own business making cabinets. He enjoyed fishing, boating, but most of all he enjoyed hunting, and being outdoors in nature. He also was a livestock farmer at heart. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Joseph is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers and one sister.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 49 years, Claudia Winters; son, Bryan Winters and wife Amber of Longville, LA; daughter Rachel Davis and husband Jacob of Moss Bluff, LA; 11 grandchildren, Shelby, Samantha, Ty Winters, Brennan, Cain Ewing, Kaleb, Canaan, Titus, Isaac, Malachi, Eli Davis. Five brothers and five sisters.
A celebration of life gathering for Joseph will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles, 3001 Ryan St., Lake Charles, LA, followed by a celebration of life service at 11:00 AM.
