John Bernard Vaughan Jr.

John Bernard Vaughan, Jr, 85, of Lake Charles, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at his residence, with his wife and daughter by his side. He was born to his late parents, John Sr. and Louise Vaughan on November 29, 1935 in Waskom, TX. John and his wife loved going to car shows and even won trophies for their classic 1929 Model A and 1930 Model AA trucks. He was the owner and operator of Vaughan Brothers Construction Company for 50 years. He was proud of his service in the Louisiana National Guard for a number of years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Linda Vaughan; two sons, John Bernard "Chucky" Vaughan, III (Linda), Kevin Vaughan, both of Greenwood, LA; one daughter, Kellie Broussard (Tim) of Lake Charles; one brother, Baron Vaughan (Anna) of San Antonio, TX; seven grandchildren; along with four great grandchildren.

John is preceded in death by his brother, Ben Vaughan of Shreveport.

A time of Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home on Monday, May 31, 2021 from 2:00pm until 6:00pm.
