John Alvin Babineaux

John Alvin Babineaux, 89, born May 29, 1927, passed away Wednesday April 26, 2017 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles, LA. He was a big family man and an avid sportsman. John was a WWII Veteran who served in the Army Air Force. Later he became a lifetime member of the Carpenters Local #953 with over 50 years of service. John was married to the late Myrna LeJeune Babineaux for 57 years. Together they had 5 children; Rita (and the late Tom) Bellard, Joey Sr. (Charlene, the favorite daughter in-law) Babineaux, Rebecca (William) Leopard, Darlene (Paul) Candler, Marlene (Carl) Leger; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. To honor him, pallbearers will be his loving grandsons.

Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles, Friday April 28, 2017 from 4pm until 8pm with a Rosary starting at 6:30pm and will resume the following day at 9am. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home Saturday April 29, 2017 at 10am. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens.
