Jean Selph

Jean was born in Lake Charles, on February 20, 1955, to the late

Frank and Ola (LeBleu) Ogea.

Jean loved her family. She loved being a Mother and Grand-Mother. She was a

devoted and loving wife of 42 years. Jean had the heart of a giver. She made sure

everyone she met felt welcome.

Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of 42 years, Rick Selph, her sons, Christopher and wife Skyla Selph,

Dan and wife Amanda Selph, Matt and wife Katie Selph and Joshua Selph and fiancé,

Candace Gipson. Her precious Grand-daughters, Lena Claire Selph

and Caroline Simon. Her Siblings, Vickie her husband Frank Fontenot, Mike and wife Tracy

Ogea and Karen and husband Mark Theriot. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ola (LeBleu)

Ogea, Maternal Grand Parents, Joseph Collins and Frankie LeBleu,

Sister and Brother-In-Law, Diana Ogea Conner and Eugene Conner.

Visitation for Jean will be held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on

Wednesday, July 12, 2017 with a Rosary being recited by

the Catholic Daughters at 12:30 p.m. A Christian Service will be held at

Hixson’s Funeral Home in Lake Charles at 1:00 p.m. with the Burial at LeBleu Cemetery in

LeBleu Settlement under the direction of Hixson’s Funeral Home.

Memorial Donations in memory of Jean Ogea Selph may be made to St. Jude’s in lieu of flowers. Words of
