Helen Louise Robbins

Helen Wallace Wiley Robbins of Westlake passed from this life on Saturday, September, 26, 2015 at Rosewood Nursing Center in Lake Charles. She was born on September 5, 1938 in Bogue Chitto, MS. and was the daughter of Louis Howell Wallace and Bernice Allred Wallace. She worked as a nurses aid at St. Patrick Hospital a number of years ago.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Arthur Robbins of Westlake, two daughters, Sherry Wiley Kiser of Natchez, MS. and Amanda Wiley Cortez of Westlake. Also, she is survived by a special son in law Hermis Cortez and wife Marbella, five grandchildren, Emmanuel Cortez, Diego Cortez, Hermis Cortez, Jr., Sofia Cortez, and Andres Cortez all of Westlake, and also a number of nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind special friends John and Geneva Nichols of Kinder.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Leland Wiley, two brothers, Jerry Wallace and Robert “Bob” Wallace, and one sister, Brenda Deer.

Services will be held at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 11:00am with Rev. John Nichols Officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, September 28, 2015 from 5:00-9:00pm and will reopen on Tuesday at 9:00am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Carter Cemetery in Kinder, LA.
