A true centennial, Harry was witness to the wonderful changes of the 20th century. Born in the time of the Model T, he was greatly influenced by the life changing events such as the flood of 1927 and the Great Depression and his time served in World War II. He met the great love of his life, Cornelia when he stopped to ask for directions and promptly fell in love with her, hair curlers and all! Together they raised four children and loved until her passing in 1976. Harry continued to love his family and watch his two grandsons grow up, marry and have children of their own before he was called home to be with Cornelia.
An avid gun enthusiast, he was a collector of them all and even reloaded his own ammunition. He often in the past spent many hours at the shooting range honing his skill. His was the safest home on the block. In later years the family would frisk his wheelchair to make sure he wasn’t packing.
Harry is predeceased by his wife, Cornelia and his parents; Alexandria and Jewell, sister; Jeri Walker. He is survived by his sons; Cecil H. (Euajit) McGregor of Sunnyvale, CA., Roger A. McGregor of Aurora, CO., and Jock A. McGregor of Lake Charles, LA., daughter; Julie C. (Paul J.) Maia of Austin, Tx., grandsons; Damon (Rosland) McGregor and Kevin (Nicole) McGregor, and 7 great grandchildren. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him.
