He was born in 1931 in Hayes, LA to the late Norbert and Eula Sonnier Fuselier. In his early years he loved to hunt and fish. Francis was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving his country during the Korean War. He married the love of his life, Betty Prather and had 65 wonderful and loving years together. Francis worked as a lineman in the Army, a phone lineman for Southcentral Bell, a communications lineman at Fort Polk LA, and was a retired journeyman electrician out of Local 861. In addition, Francis was a self-taught mechanic and loved to work on vehicles. He loved to read western books and was a jack of all trades.
Left to cherish his memories is his wife, Betty Fuselier; daughter, Belinda Fontenot, of Lake Charles LA; sons, Kenneth Fuselier of Lake Charles LA, Randy Fuselier and wife Juliet, of Knoxville TN; grandchildren, Tera Fulmer, Seth Fuselier of Georgia, Caitlin, Gabriel, Anna Fuselier of Knoxville TN and Jarret LeBlanc of Lake Charles LA; Great Grandchild Eva Fulmer of Georgia; brother, Bennett Fuselier and wife Johnny, of Knoxville TN.
Francis is preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Fuselier; brothers Harold Fuselier and Everett Fuselier.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles from 4PM until 8PM with a Rosary at 6:30PM. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home, Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Lake Charles LA.
