Florence Marie Ates

Lake Charles - Florence Marie Ates, 90, passed away March 1, 2012 in her residence.

She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was also a bookkeeper for George Theriot’s and Bahams for over 30 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Jerry Davis and husband Danny of Lake Charles; son, John Wesley Ates of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Kyle Landreneau, Rodney Davis, Stacy Davis Spricer, Brandon Landreau, Jason Ates, Jacob Ates and 11 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Irvin J. Ates; her parents, 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

Her service will be Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and resume Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until service. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery.
