She was born in Creole, LA and made her home there until Hurricane Rita where she relocated to Sweetlake. She was a member of the Jean Lafitte Pirates Club of Lake Arthur. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters, Court Mary Olive of Creole and the Alter Society of Scared Heart of Jesus Church in Creole. She received the Maple Leaf Award from Bishop Braxton. She served as rosary leader at the South Cameron Hospital every Tuesday. She assisted her Priest helping set up the alter as a lecture and visiting the sick. She was an Auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary. She was now attending St. Patricks Church in Sweetlake.
Ethel is preceded in death by her husband; Fredman Theriot and her parents; Charles and Eumea Richard, brothers; Curtis Richard and Preston Richard.
She is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Vincent of Sweetlake and Rebecca and husband, Carl Albinson of DeRidder; her twin sister, Elsie Theriot of Sweetlake and many nieces and nephews and honorary daughter and husband, Tammy Jo and Tod Miller; two grandchildren, Ali Beth Conner and Gannon Miller; two great grandchildren, Haven and Conner Bourgeois.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00pm, Friday, September 23, 2016 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Creole. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00pm until 9:00pm and resume Friday from 9:00am until 12noon at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
