Erika Ernestine Ringo

She became a naturalized citizen of the USA on June 17, 1993 and learned English by listening to the radio and tv while working in her Bridal shop. She was an excellent seamstress and dress designer.

She loved all of nature, animals, flowers and butterflies, she loved to travel and she especially loved children. After several miscarriages, she was able to adopt a precious “Angel on loan” as she affectionately called her daughter, Marika. Erika and Marika shared many happy moments each day and found joy in telling others about Jesus, Bible Study, Prayer meetings here at GTC, shopping, gardening, watching the butterflies and listening to the birds sing. She devoted her life to caring for Marika, her only living family and best friend!

A Celebration of Erika's life will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Glad Tidings Church. Family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Gary Evers officiating. Today we honor her strength, courage and determination to live a life that honored Christ above all.
