Emma G. Manuel

She was born in Oberlin, Louisiana and lived in Iowa, Louisiana prior to moving to Welsh, Louisiana. Mrs. Manuel was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church. She was a cancer and stroke survivor and she was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Jerome Manuel. She is survived by her son, Jerry Lee Manuel and wife Rachel of Woodstock, Georgia; her daughters, Lena and husband Francis Clark of Mermentau, Louisiana, Linda Faye Manuel of Welsh, Louisiana and Kathleen and husband Donald Williams of Trinity, Texas; her brothers, Burley Fontenot of Iowa, Louisiana and Andrew Fontenot of Oberlin, Louisiana; her 11 grandchildren; and her 10 great grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Hixson funeral Home of Lake Charles. Burial will follow the service at Lebleu Cemetery in Chole, Louisiana. Visitation will be at 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2012 at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles and will continue at 8 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles.
