Eddie moved to Louisiana from Oklahoma in 1944. He was a loving family man who enjoyed spending time with the ones he loved. He was a very hard and dedicated worker who took pride in providing for his family. Eddie worked for Olin Chemical Corporation as a welder for many years until he retired. He was a loving father, husband, son and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish his memories is his loving wife; Mary Franklin Mills of Lake Charles, LA., one step- son; Raymond Sexton of Del City, OK., four daughters; Ravenna Dater of Albuquerque, NM, Lawanna Lucas and husband David of Houston, TX, Janita Fontenot and husband Joe of Lake Charles, LA, Narayne Rougeau of Logan, UT, one step daughter; Glenda Whisenant and husband Leland of Clinton, MO, one brother; Leroy Lackey of Moss Bluff, LA., two sisters; Geneva Gilbreath of Broken Bow, OK and Margie Johnson of Broken Bow, OK, along with ten grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and three great- great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by both his parents, his first wife; Winona Edmond Mills, one brother; A.V. Mills, one sister; Ruby Nichols House, one daughter; Watonia Mills, one step-daughter; Betty Keener and one grandson.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles, LA. Visitation will resume on Friday from 9:00am until time of Service.
Funeral Service will be Friday, March 20, 2015 at 1:00pm at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles with Rev. Carlys Beard Officiating. Burial will follow service to Highland Cemetery.
