She was born in Sweetlake and was a resident of Cameron. Earline was very active in the community. Earline graduated from Creole High School and then attended Vincent Business School in Lake Charles to further her education. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Earline was also a member of Sacred Heart Society, The Catholic Daughters, American Legion Auxiliary, and was on the board of directors for the American Cancer Society and the Cameron Parish Library Board. She was also officer for Cameron Parish Cowbelles, La Cattleman and Creole Home Extension Homemakers.
She worked for Jones and Jones Law Firm and later the Cameron Parish Tax Assessors Office. She loved to read, watch baseball and cook meals for her family, especially when they were working cattle. She was a fan of the Atlanta Braves.
Survivors include her loving husband of 66 years, John Floyd Baccigalopi; sons, Ted Baccigalopi and wife, Marcella of Houston, Gary Baccigalopi and wife, Janna of Sweetlake, Glenn Baccigalopi and wife, Gina of Iowa and Eric Baccigalopi of Cameron; grandchildren, Michael Baccigalopi, Christian Baccigalopi, Toni Kay Sibille, Shylyn Nunez, Chelse Willis, Dakota Baccigalopi and Katrina Lejeune; and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Louanna Eagleson and her sister, Lois Watts.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11a.m. Friday, January 23, 2015 at Christ The King Catholic Church. Father Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Burial will be at Grand Lake/Sweetlake Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday January 22, 2015 from 4p.m. to 8p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles with a rosary at 6:30p.m. Visitation will resume Friday morning from 8a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
