Douglas McArthur Mann

He was born in Longview Mississippi to George and Susie Mae Mann. He joined the Army at just 17. He fought in the Vietnam War and received a Silver Star a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. After Douglas retired he attended Centenary College. He was a General Manager of several automotive dealerships and was a certified a master mechanic.

Douglas left behind his beloved wife, Leslie “Lee” Mann of 20 years; sons, Stephen Douglas Mann of Westlake LA; Stephens C. Hicks Jr. and wife Wendy of Hingham MA; Shane C. Hicks and wife Leslie of Honolulu, HI; daughters, Stephanie and husband James Spells of Lake Charles LA; Rebecca and husband Richard Madrigal of Washington LA; Tammie and husband Daniel Baker of Salt Lake City UT; Tracy Lynn and husband Michael Rebulozzia of Oakley CA; brother, Roy Don and wife Patsy McManus of MS; sisters, Mildred and husband retired Army General Joe Duralde of Mobile AL; Elizabeth Allred of Zachary, LA; Peggy and husband Shelly Brown of Baton Rouge, LA; Doris and Husband Floyd Keith of Starkville MS, 15 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren. Douglas is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.

The family will be receiving guest at 1:00pm on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles before the memorial service.
