Doug was a life-long resident of Lake Charles and graduate from LaGrange High School. He never met a stranger and loved talking and visiting with friends and family. He also loved collecting sports cards and vintage coke bottles. Doug was employed by Albertsons where he worked in the produce department. Doug was a member of the CATOE, Choctaw Apache Tribe of Ebarb. He was considered an Elder of the tribe.
He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Lee Hebert and brother David Lee Hebert.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Millie; mother Lucille Hebert; sisters Arlene Hebert, Nellie Tumbough, and Darlene Broussard and husband Brady; his aunts Adrienne Broussard and husband Orgy, Norma Lee Spikes, and Ann Sepulvado; step-daughter Judy Thompson and husband Jeremy; nieces Julie Mashek and Lauren Broussard, nephew Jim Turnbough; step-grandchildren Tyson Fontenot and Ireland Little; step great-grandchildren Ashton Fontenot and Ashland Fontenot and many great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Hixson Funeral Home in Lake Charles Sunday June 13, 2021 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume Monday June, 14, 2021 at 8 a.m. until the time of service. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. St. Margaret’s Catholic Church with Fr. Samuel Orsot presiding in Lake Charles. Burial will immediately follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
