Dorothy Theriot Collins

She was a member of St. Eugene Catholic Church and a former member of the Catholic Daughters of American-Mary Olive Court #1463. She enjoyed gardening and she played in the adult softball league. When she was young she followed her dad everywhere, she loved riding horses and working cattle with her dad.

She is survived by her son, Milton A Collins and wife Prisilla of Grand Lake; sister, Charlie Mae Brasseaux of Grand Lake; and 3 step grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Milton A. Collins Jr., parents, Lionel and Emma Theriot, brother, Walter "T-Boy" Theriot and sister, Audrey Miller. Pallbearers are Dallas L Brasseaux, Paul E Miller, Ladd Dyson, Raymond Felio, Aaron Crochet and Brent Little, honorary pallbearers Dallas "Dickie" Brasseaux and Warren Felio.

A mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 31, 2011 at St. Eugene Catholic Church in Grand Chenier. Father Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, December 30, 2011 in the church hall from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Rosary will be Friday, at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Chenier-Perdue Cemetery.
