Derrek Murray, 52, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 in his residence.
He was born in Lake Charles and resided in Westlake. He was co-owner of Lake Area Equipment Maintenance. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend.
He is survived by his father and mother, John Lesley and Lorraine Murray of Westlake; his wife, Angela Murray of Westlake; daughter, Morgan Murray of Westlake and a sister, Debbie Blake Doran of Westlake.
His funeral will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 24, 2011 at Hixson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. til time of service. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Words of comfort may be shared with the family at www.hixsonfuneralhomes.com
